Therapist – Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, M.A., RMHCI

Life has a way of shaping how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. Through painful experiences, losses, disappointments, and unmet needs, we can begin to believe things about ourselves that simply are not true. Over time, we may feel disconnected from ourselves, our relationships, our purpose, and even our faith. Anxiety, depression, shame, and loneliness often emerge, leaving us feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward.

I believe meaningful change begins with honesty, curiosity, and compassion toward ourselves. Together, we explore what your life experiences have taught you, learn to better understand your emotions, and identify beliefs that may no longer serve you. My approach is relational, emotion-focused, and grounded in Christian faith, while always honoring each client’s individual beliefs, values, and goals. I believe lasting healing involves caring for the whole person—mind, body, and soul.

My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel known, understood, and supported. Through the counseling process, clients often develop greater self-awareness, emotional security, and confidence in who they are. While circumstances may not always change, healing can lead to greater peace, joy, resilience, and connection.

I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cornerstone University in Michigan and currently practice as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI). Professionally, I have worked in both a small private practice and a large statewide behavioral health organization, serving individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. My professional training is complemented by real-life experience, which continues to shape my appreciation for resilience,
growth, and the importance of meaningful relationships.

More Than Just My Work
I have been married for 31 years and the proud parent of four young adults – who interestingly enough were each born in a different state. The beach is my happy place and I am currently trying to learn pickleball—mostly in an effort to impress my kids.
