Shelly Johnson

Psychiatry- Pediatric Primary Care & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Many clients and families feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or discouraged when facing mental health concerns, especially when symptoms affect school, relationships, self-esteem, or daily functioning.

Shelly utilizes a personalized, evidence-based, and integrative approach to treatment that combines education, medication management, therapy-informed care, and complementary modalities, including nutritional psychiatry.

Her goal is to help clients experience symptom improvement, restored mental health, and improved overall wellbeing in a supportive and individualized environment.

More than just my work

I believe mental health care should treat the whole person—mind, body, and lifestyle—to help clients feel their best and function at their fullest potential.

My faith in Christ, in addition to other modalities, has helped me cope with hardship and illness in my life and I happily incorporate faith into anyone’s treatment plan should they desire it.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, going to concerts, traveling, time with my husband, pets, family, friends, and local church. I cheer for the local Tampa sports teams, but my loyalty will always be to Wisconsin sports teams (GO PACK GO!)
